Seble Shewangizaw is a Psychologist who holds a Bachelor of arts degree in Psychology and a Masters in Public Health, both from Aksum University, Ethiopia.  She is currently a doctoral fellow at Addis Ababa University funded by the African Mental Health Research Initiative (AMARI).

Her main research interests are in the areas of depression and non-communicable diseases, improving mental health care quality and access, mental health care policy and psychosocial interventions.

Seble’s doctoral research is focusing on post-stroke depression and the burden of care givers of stroke survivors in Ethiopia. She aims to investigate and get a better understanding of post-stroke depression in Ethiopia.
