Petro Petlovanyi is a committed mental health practitioner, clinical supervisor, and clinical researcher. He brings expertise to individual, couple, family, and group therapies and actively teaches and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students. Petro also plays an important role in the development of new therapy services and is a key member of a quality improvement team dedicated to enhancing academic and clinical programs, as well as healthcare services.
His research interests span public mental health and the integration of mental health with medical and clinical sciences. He is also focused on clinical safety, healthcare management, and leadership, as well as exploring the scientific foundations of quality improvement. Petro is particularly passionate about the ways these fields intersect to drive meaningful improvements in both academic and healthcare settings.
Petro is an AMARI-II doctoral fellow whose research focuses on occupational mental health, with a particular emphasis on physician burnout within the African context, especially in Zambia. His doctoral work seeks to illuminate the unique challenges faced by healthcare professionals and to devise innovative strategies that promote resilience and enhance well-being in these vital roles.
