Bukola Adeoye is a Research Associate in the Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (C-CAMH). She works on projects including the Advancing Resiliency in Self-Employed young Women in Nigeria (ARISE&WIN) and Supporting Healthy Living and Nutrition in School-Aged Adolescents (SHINE). Bukola holds a Bachelor's degree in English and Literary Studies (5.9/7), a Master’s in English and Literary Studies (5.6/7) and a Master's with Distinction (6.1/7) in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from the University of Ibadan. Her Master’s research in C-CAMH was on ‘The Effect of Clinical Bibliotherapy on Hope, Self-esteem and Depressive symptoms in Adolescents with Sickle Cell Disorder in Ibadan,” which earned her the 2022 Distinctive Research Project Award in C-CAMH. She is currently a PhD fellow in C-CAMH at the University of Ibadan, funded by the African Mental Health Research Initiative (AMARI).

Bukola has been involved in the implementation of diverse studies focused on people living with mental health problems in Nigeria. She has experience in conducting needs assessment studies, intervention studies, scoping and systematic reviews and qualitative research.

Her research interests include literature and mental health, conduct disorder, and mental health problems in people with chronic illnesses. Bukola's PhD work focuses on understanding the lived experiences of adolescents with conduct disorder, with the aim of co-developing and testing contextually appropriate interventions that can improve their well-being.
