Rosemary Musesengwa is a Senior Researcher with the Global Initiative in Neuropsychiatric GenEthics - NeuroGenE in the Department of Psychiatry, Oxford University and the Wellcome Centre for Ethics & Humanities (WEH). Her research will explore the ethical challenges of NeuroGenetics research in developing countries, and the ethical challenges of digital mental health services for adolescents. Rosemary is also working with the African Ethics Working Group (AEWG) providing advice on ethical challenges of multi-site genetic studies in African countries, and supporting the coordination of the group. Rosemary is partially supported by the African Mental Health Research Initiative (AMARI).

Previously, Rosemary was the Programme Manager for AMARI. She also worked as the Head of the Medical Research Council of Zimbabwe before joining AMARI. She completed undergraduate studies in Microbiology and Genetics, then in later years made the shift to Research Ethics by completing a Masters in Public Health, majoring in Research Ethics at the University of Pretoria in 2008. This was followed by a Ph.D in Public Health with the University of KwaZulu Natal in 2017, where her thesis focused on the Ethics of Community Engagement in Multicentre Studies.
