Zondiwe Banda is an MPhil fellow from Malawi currently studying towards a Master of Philosophy in Public Mental Health with the University of Cape Town. He is being funded by the African Mental Health Research Initiative (AMARI). Zondiwe holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine obtained in 2012 with St John of God College of Health Sciences affiliated to Mzuzu University, a Diploma in Clinical Ophthalmology obtained in 2005 at Malawi College of Health Sciences and a Diploma in clinical medicine obtained in 1994 with Lilongwe School for Health Sciences.
Zondiwe worked as a clinical officer in the Malawi Ministry of Health from 1995 up-to 2016. Currently he works as a Mental Health Clinical Officer at St John of God Hospital Services, Mzuzu, Malawi and also lectures at St John of God College of Health Sciences.
