The AMARI PhD Introduction Course was developed by Dr Charlotte Hanlon of King’s College London and the University of Addis Ababa, and includes presentations from Dr Katharine Sorsdahl of University of Cape Town, and Dr Munyaridzi Madhombiro, among other contributors.
It is designed to be given to new PhD candidates at the start of their programme, and introduces key concepts such as the general context and background of Global Mental Health, the requirements and components of a PhD, writing a research proposal, plagiarism, issues around measurement, culture and mental health, and mental health policy.
